Epoxy flyer

Hello,

Does anyone have an opinion on the epoxy flyer construction? Good or bad?

Thanks

all bad. Made in Thai land . Make your own stick in the back yard.more power!!

I knew I’d get a reply like that. Not helpful.

You’re asking the wrong question in the wrong place.

I’ll try to give you a good answer:

It’s not a bad construction, it’s made professionally.

However, it’s a copy of a design that is perfected through the years for PU/PE construction, not for epoxy compsand construction.

If you want a mass produced epoxy board, I advice to go for firewire.

The guys in Thailand have it pretty well wired.  Once you get one of the designs you like, an exact replica is generally available.  A few designs have been discontinued but the Flyer is still a popular shape.

My son liked the Santa Cruz Pumpkin Seed and a couple of others.

As much as I’d like to say I do it like they do, I’m afraid I’ve yet to get very close as far as weight to strength ratios and replicability.

It’s legit compsand skin tech and they’ve got it down.

I have an epoxy CI Average Joe and Flyer.  They are both really light and durable.  The Avg joe has become the work horse because a majority of the waves I surf are weak.  I did read up on this board which looks like a mod sting / weirdo ripper.  Dig it.
