Epoxy for boards sports

Hello,

This is my first post. I did a little bit of searching but did not really find what I needed.

I am interested to know what are the best brands/types of epoxy that is used for board sports? Are there some that are clearer than others. Any with good ability to withstand UV without being painted? Are there some that are like a hot coat that you can sand and polish to a good shine? I’d just like to find out about all things epoxy for board sports, either Surfboards, Windsurf, Kite, Wake. Also I am in California so if you recommend a brand and where to get it, it would best for ones that are easily attainable in So. Cal. I know nothing, educate me please

Thanks!

Search the archives here for “resin research epoxy” and also search for posts from “Greg Loehr”. You should find everything you need to know.

Thanks J.Troy, just putting in “epoxy” was too broad a search to read them all. I will definitely contact Mr. Loehr.

Would anyone want to post here any other brands besides “Resin Research” that are used in the board sport industry here in the States?
