What country are these blanks manufactured in now?

I thought that was a fair question, your web site does not indicate where these blanks are made?

Hi Marsh,

Sorry for the delay in reply mate.

All materials for Eskimo foam are sent from Australia to Thailand where they are blown and glued as per our specifications.  This includes stringer Timber (from the same supplier as every other foam company in Australia), Chemicals, Papers, Pigments etc etc.  We set up our own facility up there as put simply our business model is based on container sales to our distributors who service their customers locally.  Our moulds and all development is done in Sydney and we are owned and operated 100% by shapers and surfers.

We began in Sydney but once again put very simply the freight of shipping containers from this far away land is prohibitive and does not allow it to be viable for a distributor on the ground in the countries we deal with.

We only sell to brand name customers (you may notice our distribiutor list) and our whole ethos is to provide reliable, strong and current product to domestic manufacturers in a way that allows some margin to flow back to them.

We all work in the domestic surfboard industry and have done for many years.

Hope this clears up your question.

Thanks

Chris
