**>Hi Marty,**

**>I just returned to your emails from returning from Europe. I did a bunch of boards while there, but unfortunately on my way back to California, I had all my tools stolen out of my bags in Paris during transit including my Skil 100 planer I have owned since 1968...it was a gift from my Mom that I have shaped over 100,000 boards with. I am pretty bummed, but feel like it will probably turn up somewhere. I had engraved my name on the motor housing in 1972 in Hawaii and that's the ID for it.**

**> **

**>If you get any "MG" ideas for retrieval, let me know...and take care, Marty!Aloha, Pat**

Of course, we will be on the look-out. I’m passing on the info to www.shaperoom.net right now and we’re going to watch national and local sales sites… I hope we can spot it but I’m not very optimistic…

Balsa:

Thank you for your efforts!

Merci,

SD

I am making a comment so this goes to the front to remind anyone out there to be on the look out for Pat’s Skil 100!

I will be keeping my eyes open in the UK.

I will be keeping my eyes open in the UK.

Every effort to find the planer helps, but let's consider that this is a woodworking tool, and that there are probably very few surfers, and shapers working for the airlines in Paris.
Checking out Paris pawnshops, flea markets, Craigslist, and woodworking type web sites might lead to the recovery, but be careful not to scare off the thieves by publishing in non-surfing sites unless accompanied by a cash reward.

Gutting, thats pretty low.

I’ll keep a look out in the UK, not too many skils around here and also not too many people know what they are looking at if it turns up here chances are we’ll hear about it.

If there are any recent internet ramblings about new skils being bought then it would be worth making a few enquaries as to the source, folks in europe tent to be very proud of getting there hands on one so make a big deal and a lot of noise about it, I know I did when I got mine.

Good luck, let us know the storry if (when) it turns up.

And I’ll keep my eys peeled in the mean time
