Experiences with No toe, but standard/increased cant??

Hey guys, just a question for you who have boards with no toe on the fins, but still with cant. My little board has proboxes, with no toe, but i tried the keels today with 6deg cant instead of the 4deg cant inserts. Seemed to be a bit better thru the turns drive wise. Only the 3rd surf on the board, so may well be me just getting used to the board, but i was wondering who out there has played around with No toe'd boards and canted inserts?? Thinking of maybe trying some 8deg inserts, just keen for your thoughts on changing them around on boards with no toe ( keels especially ).

Cheers

I did some tri fins with no toe, and canted, in 1971, that produced a looser feel, than when changed out with un canted fins.   The fins were easily removable, and could be changed in the water, without any tools.    You may just be getting used to the board.   My experience was, more cant=more loose.

i'm keen to hear how it goes, pics for us who arent very smart makes it easy to see what you been trying too please .....

you get many looks or comments with the Pac-man board mate ???

Bill, i "think" it felt looser, but like you say, i could also just be getting used to it.

Mark, Here's the fins im using. Loving it, but i think if it had a square/wide swallow, it would have more drive. or, i could have listened to rooster and paulcannon and moved the fins further back than 6 1/2 from the tail, especially with the curvy tail.
