*** F.C.S. wood twin keels ! ***

anyone ridden them ?

…the new wood twin keels made by F.C.S.

They look nice . Triple-tabbed , epoxy resin glassed . (Sorry, no photo available [yet].)

Hopefully next time I’m at my surfboard supplies place, I’ll try to remember to photgraph and measure them . They also had some very nice multi-coloured fibreglass F.C.S. side fins , and a back fin box fin . Looks as though FCS are extending their range …good to see !!

cheers !

checked them out, but actually decided not to go with them. Rainbow makes a two-tab fish keel fin, a little smaller template, but for a fraction of the price. I just cant see dropping 100 bucks for fins because they look sweet (and they do).

They must be internally reinforced somehow, my experiments with wooden FCS keels have pretty much all led to snapped tabs even when they’re heavily glassed. Goes to show how much water pressure those big keels are under!

Here is a pic for you chipper…

Don’t have measurements though.

Looks like they could use an extra plug from the picture…

cheers Cam !

and…

…that’s probably not a bad point , Josh !

if you don’t mind me asking , did you pay less than $100usa for yours Cam ? [the ones I saw were less than $100AUS.]

Any chance you could please take a shot ,showing the tabs too , Cam ? …just so people can see the setup…thanks mate !

here is the same fins, but we like it better glass on. Especially on a tint job. They are incredible well profiled. A very good keel fin i think.
