Anyone have experience with doing fabric inlays on epoxy boards? do you lay the fabric w/ epoxy or can you do it with poly? ( it is a clark blank) any help would b e much appreciated – thanks – S.A.
S.A. Yeah, you can do it with Poly and then go about you bussiness with epoxy laminations and it’ll work out fine. I have 9’5" with a cloth inlay out on the nose that was done that way and it worked out fine. Mahalo, Rich
I’ve donr as few fabric inlays with epoxy, but they’ve all been over wood. it works fine, just a lillt dificult to pull through fine weaves.
We’ve done many. Works great, easy to trim, easier to wet than poly. This time of year warm the resin a bit to thin it out. Get it about 80º or so. I use a microwave for about 20-30 seconds. Additive F helps it lay down too.
