fake firewire

…today at the beach I just saw from a distance a board with the FW logo and looked like with no stringer

and new so the material appear as different

when I had close and asked the guy to see the board…I saw the fake

PU foam without stringer (kind fo a mix between White and slightly Grey), Polyester resin, G10 s fins with fake FCS plugs, logos with no super smooth silckreen tint and only Black (without any White edge look no professional) made in Brazil

I told the guy something that this is not a FW, materials, etc

hhhmmm, a fake imitation of a pop-out that imitates a custom shaped board…

next thing you know, someone will be making a fake imitation of the fake imitation of the pop-out that imitates a custom shaped board.

think of it as an attempt at humor, mate, not skepticism…I’d have to actually take the whole pop-out thing serious in order to be skeptical about it, and I don’t, so I’m not…

To think Firewire is now on the level of the 1990’s Greg Noll da Cat knockoff scam. WOW! I guess the company has finally come of age, and to think it usually takes a classic board like a Noll or Brewer years to acheive knock off status? Firewire did this all within …what 2-4 years max?
