FCS wants 100$ for a fin kit. Can anyone out there tell me what the hole saw diameter is that they use. and if there is some web page somewhere of the diagram of hole spacing/placement. I have been to the FCS web site and they give good info on how to install the plugs. i just want more info on placement.

As an avid FCS fan I will only say that you will save alot of headaches by buying the kit. The kit includes not only the hole saw but the templates, boring bits, boring guide and H-Pattern tools wich are a necesity. You will also need the fin plug jigs for holding the plugs in the exact location and angle. Unless you are a skilled machinist and can make the jigs yourself, bite the bullet and buy the kit. Don’t forget to ask for the resin additive and foam overflow rings when you buy your fins and plugs. Also, the kit comes with a good video on installing FCS systems. If you buy all the tools that come with the kit, you are probably going to pay about $70.00 to $80.00 anyway and still not have the fin jigs. Hope this helps and NO I don’t work for FCS.
