FCS Longboard Fin Box Adapter.

Now I am making a adapter for futures center fins to fit a longboard box. I plan to shave down the sides of a futures rear fin box to fit in a longboard fin box. Hold it in by a screw through the bottom of the futures box down to a fin screw base plate in the longboard box. that the general idea but I don’t have all the details worked out yet.

Yes I did make the adapter. sorry no pictures. Careful work on a good table saw to shave it down just right. I over cut the first attempt.   It tool a bit of work at the bench grinder to make the flat head screws that went throough the bottom of the adapter to screw into fin plates. Put it on my 9ft board. The fin sets I was trying turned out to be a little small for that board (futures vector 3-2, AM and scimatar. board was too loose with not as much drive as I was used to. I am not using the adapter any more.

I have been using the futures Jerry Lopez SUP thruster fin set in my boards that have a 2+1 setup. the three fins are all the same size 5.5 inches with  the cented made to fit a long box. This has been the magic fin set for me. I use it on my 7-11 and my 9-0. Smooth,  plenty of hold. great drive compared to the smaller fins and turns better than anything I have tried so far. had my best day ever on my 7-11 on overhead storm surf at the inlet last thursday. great to have the center adjustable to fine tune for different conditions.  spread them out as far as they will go for the bigger waves. move it forward some on smaller days.
