When putting in the center fin plugs I ended up putting the screws on the same side and set it off hot enough to make getting a fin in a tight squeeze. The question is, does this make a difference and can I tap a hole on the otherside to get the screw in on the other side, also is it best to sand the inside of the plug or the fin tab? Thanks for all the help.
If the job looks good and strong, leave it as it is. The fin have a section designed for the screw to anchor itself on each sideā¦thats all find and dandy but you can get away with the way you have it as long as the fin goes in with no major problem.
