FCS plugs through the stringer

Anyone got any info. on the cons of an FCS plug going right through the stringer on thinly foiled boards? How much of the board’s strength is compromised when this happens? Should I worry about it? What do I tell clients when they freak-out at seeing the stringer separated at the plug? Kirk

…ooorrr, just use those handy stickers that FCS give you.Herb I wouldn’t worry to much when you consider what a fin box does to a longboard stringer. Don’t add any S.A. to the resin mix either, this will cause separation around the plugs.Aloha, Kokua
