Fiberglass & 'Fiberglass Supply'

I was checking out the link to Fiberglass Supply – looks good. I noted some different types of glass. Can anyone elaborate on the differences between E-glass and K-glass, and what about the warp bias E-glass, other than it’s stronger in the length direction (they say that on the website) Do any of you use this site for supplies? The prices look great, but I was wondering what shipping is going to do to that – I live in SoCal. Just mainly looking at supplies – fins, glass, tape, etc. I live next to EZFoam, I’d just assume get my blanks from there. I’m assuming that shipping one of those 5 gal buckets of resin is probably pretty expensive.

I can’t help to much with specifics about the types of glass mentioned, except to say pretty much just what is written on FS site. I’ve used FS a few times. They’ve lways delivered products on time and in good shape (and I’m in NY). If you have questions either call or email them (I’ve talked to Sherl who is very helpful), they’ll give you shipping cost info with no salesmanship or BS whatsoever. They are reliable and easy to reccomend. EJ>>> I was checking out the link to Fiberglass Supply – looks good. I noted > some different types of glass. I would second Rook’s comments and add that they are excellent people to deal with. Their assistance is often worth the price of the freight. Patrick Shannon
