Fiberglass Hawaii in SC to close.

I was at FH this morning to pick up some hardener. Today’s their last day. They’re moving it all to the Ventura shop. Bummer. Big bummer for the guys that do this for a living. If any of the FH guys check into Swaylock’s I would like to thank you for the last five years of reasonable prices, good advice, and great service. Sorry you’re moving out. Mike

That’s sad to hear. All of the guys that worked there were super friendly and helpful. So now that Fiberglass Santa Cruz and Fiberglass Hawaii are both gone, where is one to get supplies locally?

I’ve talked to Ted at Fiberglass Hawaii and he wants people to know that they will be operating a weekly to 10 day delivery service to Santa Cruz and points in between from their Ventura store AND people can order from them by phone or via their website. They will continue to have a full range of products available including blanks, resin and fiberglass. Small orders can usually be shipped UPS.

I’m very interested as well. This is a bummer, I’m about to shape my #001 and I was going to run in FH in the morning to buy my blank : (

i don’t know what goes on behind the scenes but i Do know that wade and gigi and everyone i’ve met at fiberglass hawaii (ventura) are great people and they have really helped me out with deliveries and keeping a sense of humor in this industry.
