Stuff used to be called fabmat. It’s stiched to the mat to enhance bond with the higher density substrate snowboards have … usually wood. May or may not be good on boards … probably not. Veils are real hard to control resin absorbsion. Snowboards use heat and pressure during the cure cycle which allows them to control the weight. With EPS and bagging you could have a shot.
Greg,yep absolutely, the snowboards and skis have wood cores and are subjected to higher pressure and faster cure (heat blankets etc…). I will consider it for surfboards if the fabric can wrap the rails nicely in a vac bag.
