Fiberglass Repairs ==> Stringer

I'm trying to fix up a beater fiberglass board and along the stringer in the center of the board, the glass is pulled down awy from the stringer so that is creates kinda like an upside down "V". I was just curious if this was indicitive of the condition of the board, does it require repair, etc.? Would it eventually cause problems? There's a couple of dings that i'm fixing, so if i need to throw some glass on it or anything its no big deal. Thanks for any help!

Sbob, I have seen this quit a bit on older longboards. What happens is that the foam gets broke down and some times even turns to dust under the glass. It all depends on how far you want to carry this. The board will more then likely delam before too long. So I would not spend a lot of time on it unless I really wanted to fix it up. One thing you can do is sand it down to the glass and just lay some glass down until it is up to the hight of the stringer, and lay down that glass with sanding resin all at once. then sand it down smooth and go for it. It is really hard to tell with out seeing the proplem thou. If it had delamed you could take off all of the glass fill it in with Qcell and then glass it back.
