I’m either going to be using future or ofishl boxes. At what point do I cut out the box? after glassing and before hotcoat?
O’Fishl is installed after shaping, prior to lamination. (including the 10.5" center fin boxes). The O’Fishl thruster fin boxes almost require that you own the jig and installation kit to get it right. The FCS plug system is installed after hotcoating/ before sanding. I’ve never installed the Future products but as I recall it would be done after hotcoating as well. Follow the mfr. info for the product and add additional cloth patches or tail patches in the areas where the plugs/boxes will be installed. Good Luck!
