Hi All, Ive just recently finished a 10’6" wth my first glass on fin. I’ve checked and it is perfectly lined up with stringer, and is perfectly level, but when taking off on bigger waves (3-4ft hawaiian) I get a slight hum, its just a little annoying. Any ideas why this happened? Thanks for your help

Check carefully and you can see and feel it.You need to sand/wetsand it off completely.Herb

I had a swallow tail once that sounded like an airplane, it rode really good, so I just got used to it. Good luck
Hi Dewey, Fin Hum nearly always developes along where the fin meets the board. Have a close look an inch and a half along the board surface and up the fin surface on either side. Too thick a trailing edge down by the board can cause it too. Better Surfing, Rich
Your fin hums because it doesn’t know the words!
