Today a scratched up my fin, nothing too bad, but it’s a new fin, and it works killer. ‘you know how hard it is to find a fin you love’ From my boating days, it looks like a little wet sanding will do the trick. Before I do this though, I thought I’d consult with my brothers & sisters at Swaylocks. PS, I need a surf, I just did my taxes…arghhh! I’m a W2 employee, making less than $35k/year & still owe taxes. Guess my boss didn’t with hold enough. How is this possible? Guess I better find an accountant. Sorry, just needed to vent.
…YOU CAN, sand it,(you only have to sand out the uglys, not the whole fin)then spray it with a clear gloss acrylic, like krylon.Herb

If it’s really deep use a little 80 grit and then coat it with a little UV sanding resin Unless of course its a Nylon/glass composite then all you can do is fair it out, to do that just go wet-dry 180 --220 – 400 – 600 – 1500 – rubbing compound and a little auto wax or mop and glow if you want to seal the job. Keep the kit around. It’s a good way to finish out a dig repair, cheap too. Shape at the beaches today in Monterey Bay was Sick! Mahalo, Rich
