Fin sanding

I’ve got a Milwaukee polisher in the garage, and I want to make some fins. After doing some reading, it seems that a hard flexpad/powerpad and some 60 grit sandpaper should get the job done. However, I’ve got a few questions~

What direction should I sand (if it matters)?

What RPM setting/ speed should I be sanding at?

How should I split the workload (polisher v. handsanding)?

  was your question about finish sanding ....or using the 60 grit to FOIL the fins ?
