When sanding a glass-on fin, is the goal to just get the shinnys out or to sand the fin back to pre-glass thickness and rely on the fin rope for most of the strength. Thanks, Graham

Thanks, Graham …The idea is to keep as much as possible on the fin,but I have several times, took just about everything off and didn’t have any real problems.I like to put a 1/3 patch under the rope.This way if you buzz it down to the rope you still have some glass on the fin.Herb
