I have a 6’4" round tail shaped to resemble a 70’s single fin, low-rocker, wide point forward of center, very full rails, box-fin setup. I need a suggestion for a fin for this board. I want it to have drive, but still be loose enough to easily turn.
You’ve got a fin box, try as many fins as you can, till you find the one, or two, that suit the board, or you, or the waves you’re riding. The board design you’ve chosen will only go as well as your ability to ride it. Find that elusive fin, then go surfing and carve the shit out of it. Good planshape for rail turns and vertical re-entries. Have fun.

I’ve got both these fins in 8.0 for a 6’10 rounded pin and 7’0. They both work well.
Gotta factor in tail width, board width, your size, whether you surf with power and like to bank the board, wave size and type.
Generally, I like about a 9" single for 6’4" traditional shaped boards. I’ve used from 7.5 to 13", and longer always holds in better.
But I surf in juice, usually overhead size. If it’s stiff, move it forwards! If it spins out, move it back, or go bigger…or bank the board with weight!
