fin tow in

i just routed the fins for a 5'8'' quad . i towed them in 1'' instead of 2''. will the board be ok or should i kill myself ?.

First off, it's only a surfboard so I don't think it's worth killing yourself over. Second, it's ''toe-in'', "tow-in'' usually involves a PWC and a rope. Third, I have no idea what 1'' or 2'' of toe-in means, that's not a standard # or terminology.

You can get help here but you have to ask questions we can understand.

Do you mean 1 degree, or 1 inch off the nose instead of 2? Either way, it’s still gonna work.

Are you sure it doesn’t involve a Toyota truck and an old Ford Granada?

i am 1 half an inch off the nose instead of 2 . could be 2 degrees or so more than i intended . do you think its worth the trouble filling the edges with gorilla glue and recutting ?.

so if you were to draw straight lines on the inside of the fins, they will pass the nose

1/2" to the right or left of the tip of the nose never crossing the stringer? is that what you are saying?

if so, that sounds about right to me for a small wave board.

Thanks for the clarification. IMO you'll be OK. Next time follow the old axiom, ''measure twice, cut once''.

thanx for the input . i never have done a reidel quad befor . i wanted to keep his formula . then again i have heard some say that their quad was stiff so the extra toe may be a good thing .
