Fine Line 80's board ID?

I found this board by a roadside in Newcastle NSW. Put out for recycling / trash.

Am currently in process of taking the spraypaint off it but have found no further maker’s marks or signatures

I have tried to email Brian Hilbers for a positive ID and any information about it, but have had no response.

Any ideas about this board?
I am going to restore it and ride it, one way or the other, but would love to know a bit more about it.

I note that there was a thread (11 years ago) about “Fine Lines Surfboards” as a garage operation here in Newcastle. can anyone enlighten me further?

Hilbers’ Fineline label was out of San Diego, CA beginning around 1976. Your board has a two word logo, where Hilbers’ brand was a single word.
Here’s examples of the two different labels. There was a Fine Line out of Newcastle

Brian grew up and still lives in the San Fernando valley in Southern California. He not only makes beautiful boards but wood furniture as well . Really nice furniture. He is very detailed oriented when it comes to his handcrafted items. He is a bit hard to get a hold of as he likes to spend time in the mountains…

Thanks for that one! Important distinction.
My original thoughts were that maybe someone had travelled to California and brought back the board.

Now I see it is certainly homegrown.
I’m new here (Newcastle) so I have a lot to learn about the place!

Thanks Matt.
