Here are some pics of a 6’5" thruster I just finished.
The airbrush was done by D&D Artwork out of Bellmore, NY.
The Fins were done by John Cherry.
The board is Epoxy with RR Epoxy Gloss Coat. Hope you like it.

That is an incredible piece of artwork from the shape, to the artwork, to the fins!
Wild…that artwork is insane, and the board looks awesome too. I know it’s been discussed before, but do you mind giving us you process of the RR gloss coat.
Thanks
The process is:
Laminate with rr epoxy. (I freelap the rails)
I sand down the lap line until it feel flush then I take 100 grit and rough up the lam coat a little and blow clean.
I then hotcoat with a 4" brush using rr epoxy.
I then sand the hotcoat with 100 grit, just to get the shine off.
Then I mix more rr epoxy but double the amout of additive F and put on the gloss coat.
After it cured, i sanded with 220, then wet sanded with 320,400,500,600,800,1000,1500
(Went a little nuts on the wet sanding but really wanted a good shine)
Then I compounded the board with the 3m heavy duty compound and buffer.
Then I put some car polish on it.
Have been looking for some water based polyurethane to use after hotcoat as I have read the gloss coat comes out more like a poly board, just found some
at lowes hardware today so hopefully I can test it out on my next board in about a week or so.
I found from this forum that heating the resin in the nuke for about 20 seconds helps keep blush down and allows the resin to flow much smoother,
but it kicks way quicker, when I was doing the lam on the fins it started to burn my fingers, had to stop and re-mix a fresh batch.
Draw some big Tom Curren-esque curves with that dragon! Throw some steam off the top if ya want, too!
This will be good for the universe and you. Have some pics made while you do it. This will be good for us!
