ok so a few confeshions first its a sup which might not go down so well (unfortunatly im not blessed with consistant waves or breaks around here and sup opens up alot mroe options) and techacily not my first boars as there was the hollow sup race board if people rember this time last year but it is my first conventunal glass and foam board.
it was a huge learning curve and i leant a hole stack along the way, ive done alot of work with glass carbon pe and epoxy before but nealy all in molds. it was also the first blank ive shaped (strated as a block of 1lbs eps)
first major thing to go rong was stright away when i started glassing with a batch or resin kicking in the bucket as i went round the rails but i rembered wise words from here and that was stop! let it cure and then fix the problem which was very good advice.
the second was with a fill coat that didnt kick which i posted last week about but after a little fafing about that was overcome and once again moved on.
Im prity stoked with how it came out yes its not very white but i think part of that was the blank sat around for over a year before i dug it back out to finish up so had a nice coat of ground in dust and im sure i broke a bunch of rules with touching it and type of gloves ect but i figure just worey about one thing at a time
anyway anuff of the woffle heres a few pics any constructive critasisum is more than welcome
and once again thanks to every one on here i have spent along time researching everything on here and im sure it would have come out a hole load worse if this info wasnt here
cheers charlie
