Hello there,
Here is my 9’4", 23" wide log.
This is my third shaping attempt and first glassing.
lots of effort… triple stringer is a pain.
Many questions were answered by swaylocks…
I took her out today and yesterday and I’m pretty happy.
Thank you! I may now be a swayoholic…
-Emily
your 3rd board and you went for a triple stringer?!! That’s bold. Looks like is came out
killer! keep it up.
Ditto…Nice job! I’m still scared to tackle a multi-stringer unless they’re 1" apart!

Now go and mow the lawn, you’ve got a couple of lawnmowers next to the house…
After you’ve done that fire up that Webber and have a few beers for me…

Ems -your air quality looks familiar…are you a north-of-the-Golden-Gate person?
If so…really hope to see you & that board in the water sometime soon. Beautiful job.

Ya-ooooooooooohhhhh!!!
Third shape? Longboard? Three stringers? Volan cloth?
Girl, you rule! Hats off to you. Let’s see some more soon.
And tell us how it rides.
fog, toyota pickup, wool hat, unused lawnmower, triple stringer and tons of stoke…gotta be Humboldt County…Maybe Mendo…
Great work Emily. Looks like its gonna be a great tip rider. Hope you’ll post pics of you riding it too…

mowwing the grass when its damp
is not recomended
looks like time to practice
transporting surfboard safely to the beach.
A big part of surfboard building
dis counted by some
this transition from shop to water
is the greatest part of the equation.
congrats on # three
feel the glide
enjoy the ride
wood is good
Will the next have four stringers?
whadda concept.
…ambrose…
Great work.
Nice shape, nice fin, triple stringer, volan cloth, 9+ for first glassing on #3 that’s impressive.
can’t wait to see what you do next to top that.
most excellent! You should be very proud. And, you should post it in the resources/photo section for posterity!

You’re not the Emily who used to drive a Volvo, are you? She was a pretty good longboarder, Bodega/Salmon Creek area.
What a beauty!
I think my favorite part is the impish smile peeking out from behind the board.

My mother lives in Monte Rio…
I used to surf Salmon Creek a lot when I was living down there a couple years ago… and sometimes was drove to the beach in a gold volvo. But I didn’t have a longboard then… so perhaps was another Emily.
Now I live in Oregon…
and thats not my lawn,
but mine looks worse.
Thanks to all for the kind words!

Funny…blue volvo Emily had a small longboard, maybe 8’2 or 8’6". I spent a whole stormsurf day caravanning around the coast with her following me once as we tried to find someplace pulling in the swell but protected from the weather. Like 5 or 6 hours in the cars pulling over to check something every 30 or 45 minutes. Its a tough area because 2 breaks that are 5 miles apart as the crow flies can take 30 minutes or more to drive between…
Sorry to hijack your thread with a boring story I like your board a lot. Hope you make more & put them up too…
