I’m putting in a 10.5" box in the center (3.4" up from the tail) of a 7’6" egg shape, but I’m wondering where I should put the side fins. The rocker is pretty relaxed (4.5" nose with a long entry, 2.5" tail) and the rails are 50/50 going to hard in the tail. The board will be ridden in everything from mush to overhead. I’ve done sidebiters on longboards before, but most of my eggs have just been single fins…any suggestions? Thanks! Eggman
Why not give yourself the options of surfing the board with different fin combinations? Time and cost is minimal for putting a rail fin system in. It’s a fairly well accepted fact that empty fin boxes don’t affect board performances measurably. So they won’t effect the board’s performance as a single. If you don’t put them in you’ll never know what you missed. They say ignorance is bliss, I see it proven every day. No Worries, Rich
