I’m still finishing my first board (wel actually I finished 4 boards in 2 weeks together with a friend, but only one of the 4 boards is gonna end up being mine :P)
It’s a 6’3", 21.5", 2 3/5… (the board on the right, not glassed yet on the pictures)
It’s a stringerless eps (30kg/m3) with two layers of 6oz on the deck and one layer of 6oz cloth on the bottom… Glassing went really good (no bubbles or anything) and i’m about to install fins (fcs) and do fill coat…
what about fin placement? I was lucky to get a set of medium fcs h2 fins for free (thnx surfeurope) and I was planning on using those on the board. From what I’ve read from the archives a regular thruster setup would be like 3.5" for the back fin, and 11.25" for the side fins at about 1.25 from the rail with 1/4" toe in… would that work? What do you guys think?

Competition standard 10.5 and 3.5"
Measure some boards you like, 11.25 would be kinda stiff for me, but some people like it. 1.125" from the rail is more standard.
No offence my friend in any way . But the board with the cool looking paint job on the bottom. I would take a look at those rails first . Then do the fins . they look pretty narly to me. That is a cool paint job by the way.
