First Nose Rider Glass in Single Fin

Here is my first attempt at a specific style of board. This board is #9, shaped and glassed. It has 50/50 rails, concave nose from tip to about halfway down the belly. An old style single glassed in fin(first attempt). All in all its ok, the rails are a little fat, making it a little heavy. But I liked the glassing and pinstripping, I was going for a sea foam green with some highlights but my colors blended and almost went army camo. I tried to compensate with a little bit of glitter to give it a little pop. Im taking it out this weekend, maybe sooner if the weather and wind slow down. Next project in the works is a 8’ speed egg with a quad fin setup. Thanks for looking, any comments or pointers would be appreciated. Thnx. R

Took the board out this evening, It does nose ride well! Alot different than my usual thin performance longboard. Has alot of glide and sucks into the wave. Alot heavier than usual(fat rails). Anyway, Im happy with it. I have a long way to go though. It seems on just outing that the front of the board has to much foam. If feels like its pushing alot of water on take off. This may be from the nose kick or to much foam up front. I still need to find the sweet spot. On to the next project and learning more and more. Thanks for all your help and input. R
