first resin swirl

Alright so ive glassed 4 boards so far and on my next 5’6 hybrid im thinking about doing a resin swirl. Probably black with a green swirl or maybe green with a black swirl. I’ve read a lot of the old posts about resin swirls and watched some videos so im pretty confident that I know how to do it. I’m going to mix 2 or 3 medium sized black batces and swirl a little bit of mixed green in each and try to cover the whole board with those 2 or 3 buckets, then let it soak for a couple minutes, and then spread it around and do the laps with some more black maybe.

I’m just wondering 1) if im setting myself up for disaster and will probably end up with a pukeish green dogshit board and 2) maybe some techneaques to get cleaner laps and overall cleaner looking lam. I’m also really wondering what to do with the deck that would look best, im thinking im just gunna do the deck all black or maybe try a second swirl if I lke the way the bottom came out. Etherway the board will be 5’6 x 19 1/4 by 2 3/8 and I was wondering what a good ballpark number is for how much resin I should mix.  Going to be using RR and I want to achieve a look similar to this one posted below. This guy used three colors (blue, white, and black) and I was wondering if I should maybe pick up a white or just use my two colors. thanks if anyone deciedes to help out

dont add to much black, a little goes a long way.
