Favorite flat spell activity (besides shaping or thinking about shaping)?
how about experiencing what it feels like to be a “non-surfer”? the novelty of it all!

If your name is Bert, or you also lack snow, you might do this…
Along with the not so subtle “extreme” schoolbus in the background…haha.
That looks intense.
id have to say
WANKING!
There really isn’t a whole better than a good wank, or two, or three…
sidewalk surfing always seems my natural choice.
As long as it’s not too hot…
Aaah, stuffed up the piccie, but it was a funny little rock climbing santa…
templating fins , designing skateboards , making fins, taking photos , skating [but it’s too hot here at the moment ], watching dvds , hitting swaylocks , going to the beach…
not my favorite, but I did it… cleaning up my perpetually messy shaping area and garage… also shaped & glassed a new board. So, it’s not all bad.
A good flat spell activity? Hanging with the girls parents for the weekend. If they are down when it is good, I usually get in trouble. ;D
Keith,
I hope you’ve started another board, because it look like it might be nasty for a while…
Havnt had surf in three weeks…
Working on the car… and keeping up with weight lifting.
Cured the blues yesterday with a dirty water session at a spot in Northern LA. I am not sure I should say where, as the crowds might flock. I’ll give you a hint. starts with an “M” and ends in “bu”.
The lagoon had broken open due to the rain, and I don’t remember the last time the sand was that good out there. Everything was in its right place, and besides the guy who insisted on walking up the point to the take off spot everytime, everyone out seemed to be having an amazing.
Although it did smell mighty foul.
Well I’ve had a bad case of “the flats” for, oh 25 days now (yep, 3.5 weeks).
We’ve decided to get a boat (nothing fancy, just a 16ft tinny). And one day I hope to build an outrigger canoe or two.
And yes, both of us have been going stir crazy (feel sorry for our kids).
New groundswell should start climbing Staurday and the forecast is for offshore windws (hope it works out that way).
