For all the fin and flex freaks in here: the current Scientific American has a worthwhile article on flexible airplane wings. Not really enough details but they do identify some of the key characteristics of using newer materials and making the natural wing flex beneficial, etc… Of course it all started with the Wright brothers watching birds make adjustments in flight. (Swaylocks East 2004 side trip to Kittyhawk Wright Brother’s Museum and hangliding if there’s no surf). What was that movie called Ambrose? The one where YOU were flying. Rob Olliges
