Like I said IT’S NOT for the outline.
A blank costs too much and I’m not a pro shaper so I don’t wanna throw the money the garbage
.
Just cut the block down the centre as carefully as you can, then when you glue the stringer in use the outside edges of the block (already square and clean from manufacture) as the stringer sides.
Your not so perfect cut now ends up as the outside of the blank which won’t matter as you’ll be cutting out the outline there.
