foam cutting

hey,

starting my second board. thought i would try something new and go with a knee board. and i need to remove alot of foam. i don't have a plainer, the other blanks i bought were the pre shaped. and now i bought a chunk of 2 density eps. ive been looking online about how to make a hot wire cutter. is there any other way to cut the foam? i was also thinking of making 2 templets of the rocker and slapping them on the side, than using some sort of long saw to cut it. its a very wide blank. thanks!

Router and routing pencil?

Hansel,

Go buy a planer from Harbor Freight. Spend the $20.00. Or if not, you’d be better off smashing the foam off with a rock.

thanks for the advice, i saw the planers on harbor but they have such a small cutting surface. i think ill go with the hot wire cutter. separate question, where can i get the bass wood stringer, ive seen stringers on greenlight but they dont make custon stringers unless your ordering likt 20 of them. thanks!

wish me luck.
