Foam tint question

I’m in process of learning about resin tint have board in progress with resin tint in lam.

But I’m planning on doing a foam tint on next board that a friend ordered a few days ago.

Question is, do I Tint foam before or after routing for future fins box?
Concerned routing will damage foam tint and I’ll see untinted foam at edge of box.
Or if I route before tinting, it will be difficult getting even tint around boxes.
Advice welcome.

And how do put down tinted epoxy onto blank? Quegee, roller or brush?

I should have ordered a test blank to try this stuff out on…

U can use brush or squegee

I use the brush (poly resin) because I find it a lil bit easier. One of my friends did it once with the squegee and the result was so damn nice

I do the foam-stain before routing the boxes and I use a plastic spreader (same thing I use for lams) with tinted/pigmented epoxy.
