FoamEZ

went in there for the first time. Small setup really.

They seemed to have a lot of date expired resin they were selling.

…and not cheap!

I got out the door with a can that expired in Dec 2006, came back in

and asked for a discount…Nada, he put it back on the same shelf went

to the back and gave me a can of resin that expires in Feb 2007 instead.

Still expired. 13 bucks for a pint.

Still figure by the time I’m due to fix more dings again this can will be useless!

That place left a bad taste in my mouth.

Looks like I’ll try to avoid this place if I can help it.

Hey Otis,

I’ve been buy stuff there for a couple years now. I’ve always been treated fairly.

I read your posts and you got me thinking. I went and checked the dates on my resin. They are December and February also. However they’re not expiration dates, they are start dates. The fine print under the date box says it’s good for 6 months from the indicated date so the resin you looked at were “good” until May and July.

To tell you the truth, I never noticed that date before. I’ve been buying stuff there for a couple years and have never had any trouble with resin and some of it sat on my self for quite a while. I kinda take that back. I have had trouble with resin on my shelf but it’s been due to a bad seal after I closed it back up. I’ve had the same trouble from other suppliers also. I have to make sure the threads are clean when I close it and put it away.

I buy quarts but Foam EZ has similar prices to the other place I’ve been.
