That’s amazing Ben. I was thinking the hockey stick would have been at the rear, which I’d still like to try but that set up looks fantastic. Love that tiny fin that fits in at the rear. Will be very interesting to see how the rear handles the flow off the hockey tip. Great idea. Cannot wait to try this. Cheers rich
Sorry to butt in, but Ben’s templates reminded me of some fins i mind shaped a while back and never did anything with. I would be interested to hear your thoughts.
Hey great to hear from you! Those look great. Have you tried them? They look remarkably similar to bens idea…I’m sure they are going to work. I’ve always been a fan of keels with a bit more rake than the outline you worked from but I’ll be really interested to hear how yours perform. Things have been great here. Days away from our first year and it’s been fantastic. Still making boards and the orders are starting to come in. Are you still making them? Would love to see/hear what you’ve been up to. Cheers rich
Glad you’re loving it out there mate, I’ve had to try and ignore some of your FB update to stop myself getting too jealous.
Unfortunately I’ve been without a workshop for the last year and a bit, so I’ve just had ideas piling up. Thankfully I’ve managed to sneak into a buddy’s garage for the time being, and have order myself too huge blocks of EPS to keep me busy. I currently working of a Twin-Pin and a Semi-Gun for an Indo/NZ trip I’m hoping to mate this winter, but want to the Asym thing further looking forward
These fins were intended for a board specifically designed for the Severn Bore, but I’ve had to put the project on the back burner for the moment, so not feedback I’m afraid.
