This is the link to my album, but here are a few photos taken at the show on saturday and sunday:

Great examples or board building, the Ripple Rail looks like a lot of fun !

holy moly… beautiful boards

Wow!

Here’s some more:

There’s a guy building a HWS in the middle of the show:

This is the grand prize of the lottery that will be drawn tomorrow. It’s a twin fish shaped by Axel Lorentz and glassed by myself:

9’7" x 23 1/2" x 3 3/8" that I shaped in demo two days ago:

Pretty cool, Balsa, and I have never seen shaping racks like the guy’s in one of your photos, I wouldn’t mind trying them out sometime.

I think those racks are pretty nice. First saw pics of them a few years ago. If you turn rail bands with blanks in the pocket they look pretty much foolproof. Lots of cool stuff coming out of Europe,Ireland,UK,Japan and Brazil. Board building by individual craftsmen is truly an International deal. I think a LOT of people lurk here picking up tips. I would dig going to France for sure. (and Ireland) …is that a hint?

Lots of nice boards, but the Pipeliner is still a standout.

Ghettorat, Cleanlines, those racks are mine. Every year, I move my racks and vacuum system to the show for everyone to use on demos. Pro: they are easily moved since they are on wheels (which can be locked still, of course) and, yes, the design allows to work the rails with a profile view from the side. Con: the steel that they were made from isn’t thick enough so they are not stiff enough. I’ll soon have new ones made. Also, the wooden base of the racks can be a hang-up for people who are accustomed to racks without anything in the way. Axel (the guy in the photo, shaping with my new Accurate planer) kept hurting his feet and cursing me to Hell during his demo…

Tblank, thank you very much.

Cleanlines, you’re welcome any time.

My friend Stéphane (“Coconut”, here) shot this video of myself shaping a new board for Gwen (she’s the girl you’ll see at the end of the video) on the last day of the show.

Loved it!  Joe Cocker gets by with a little help!  Nice Board!  Shaper sweeps up his foam at the end!

Hi Guilhem -

Nice board you shaped for your friend Gwen.  I think I know how you felt as the two of you were standing next to it while she inspected and you wondered about what she thought.  Any of us who have shaped a board for someone knows the feeling.  The final shot of her standing next to it and you looking back seems to add truth to the old quote  "Art is never finished.... merely abandoned."  (Da Vinci)

I'd love to see follow up photos of the glassed board and maybe Gwen riding it?

Hi John, of course you will see it glassed and (I hope) ridden.

Guilhem et Stephan,

Très bon. Artisans au travail.
