Anyone have the link to that simple little program to design outlines? I followed a link years ago and it was fun to mess with. It’s the one where you enter in the dims and it appears on screen.
That may be the one. I seem to remember it was very similar but in English? What is that Portuguese?
That’s french, there was a version in English some times ago but the software evolved and only the french version is online now. It’s very easy to use though. If you need some translations, ask me.

You can get fairly accurate. You can move the tail and nose crosses to the width or thickness you want (set at 1 foot from either side) and also add as many markers as you want using the cross in the middle at the top (moving that point makes a copy of the cross and you put it where you want). Coordinates appear when moving the markers. You just have then to adjust the curves to your markers.
You can print your template as an image using the big button at the lower right corner “image.gif / sauvegarder”.
You can have all your measures to trace by yourself by clicking in the toolbar on “Fichier” and in the menu on “afficher les cotes”.

It seems like it is possible to import its files into elmer, a open source finite element program.
After my exams (one of them is about finite element calculations) I will try to do some structural calculations on surfboards with this. This could give some nice colors
