On this installment of Ding Repair Chronicles, we dig in a little deeper and give you some more details on how to fix a surfboard ding. This ding looks especially difficult since it affects more than just the impact zone of the board. There was residual damage done to the futures fin box as well as the rail which was blown out. As you’ll see, we keep it simple and follow some very basic steps that allow us to complete this repair using only basic hand tools and our Fiberglass Hawaii materials.
