[french cuisine] Stange-zer

Sometimes, people ask you strange things.

This time, I was asked to shape a board that had to be:

  • an egg

  • with a swallow tail

  • and wingers…

But the board also had to be:

  • a bonzer

But the runners had to be:

  • FCS H2 and nothing else.

That was a program I never heard about.

I spent some days thinking how the helle I could put all this together.

Believe it or not but the Fins&bottom contour was not the main problem to me.

I decided to use a Rainbow bonzer centerfin (the one with honeycomb inside) ans H2 side fins… to create a double concave just like bonzer’s and then, create a second set of concaves running along the rails to favour a water flow on the outside of the fins and create lift…

I decided that may work… hopefully it will.

The hardest part was the outline.

A completely round nose with a swallow/wingers tail looked to strange… then I had to decide and go with a different shape for the nose… still large and comfortable.

I hope the arrow touched the target allright.

So far, the board has been delivered and not surfed yet… I wait for the feedback.

But the guy already loves it.
