Howzit Bryan, any info would be great, Ken was just here a couple of weeks ago to surf and he was doing great. Just goes to show we never know when our time is up. Do you know how and from where your grandfather knew Ken. Aloha, Kokua

hey kokua sad news buddy, theres always a certain pain when the people we deal with regularly pass away…having all the details does help a little more with accepting it…once upon a time i never knew what to say at a time like this ,but after having many positive encounters with people saying the right thing to me when grieving ,its really helped me to understand what helps at a time like this…

hang in there, shed as many tears as you have to , cherish all the good memories…

sorry to hear of your loss …

regards

BERT

Kokua,

It saddens me to hear about the Ken’s death. Did’nt know him but I feel a special kinship with any of my fellow surfers still surfing later in life (I’m 55). My condolescences to his family and fiends.

Heard a rumor up my way…Sorry for the loss.Got my private Jefferies on the good side today,YEAAAH!..Maybe your friend was sending some waves my way?Seemed to catch all the besst as it came in,just as if it was mine to begin with.Herb

Danger+ Opportunity= Crisis tm.

I hope he suffered very little, and that he was surfing might have eased the pain or fear.

My mother died a slow, painful, fearful death at age fifty-eight. It took eight months of agony. Therefore, in my humble opinion, he went in a better way.

And, furthermore, if there’s a heaven, the wind is never onshore, and the air/water temp is consistently eighty.

Howzit Herb, Yep Ken was a really good guy who was an excellant surfer. Talked with his best friend yesterday and Ken's wife and kid will be bringing his ashes back to Hanalei to scatter at the Bay, 1 more wave at Hanalei for Ken. Aloha, Kokua

Kokua,

I know it’s not the last wave…but one of the first, in a long line-up of friends who have gone before us…He’s surfing right now…his only mortal wish would be to watch over his family that he dearly loves.Herb
