FU box problem...

I just noticed that the 9" FU box in my 2+1 shortboard is no longer fully snug around the fin as when the board was completed. Prevously, the box was so snug I had to tap the fin base gently with a small rubber mallet to get the different fins I experimented with to slide within the box.

Now, the same fins have a bit of wiggle in them when even when fully tightened, and I can see a micro gap between each side of the fin base and box sidewalls that was not previously there.

Checked box integrity, no cracks, no leaks, no apparent damage.

Anyone experience this with FU boxes before…?

…the FU s made in China are very low quality (for installation and after use) in comparison with the ones made in USA

sometimes you need to sand a bit or cut smaller bumps near the internal rails

etc
