As some of you already know, I have been working on a charity that - in many ways - is similiar to the Surfrider foundation in terms of the work for the environment. However, that is not the whole of the charity. The main focus is teaching surfing and other water sports to children and teens who are underpriviledged.
We will be holding a fund raising auction scheduled for the end of Jan./beginning of Feb. What I am asking people to do is donate anything surf related that they wish. Old surf magazines, old boards, fins, shirts, stickers, wetsuits, body boards, or anything that could feasibly be sold in an auction - or even given to the kids if not sold.
Each person donating will recieve an information packet about the charity, as well as a Washout Foundation sticker.
We are currently working on a website and will have it up and running shortly and more information will be available on that.
Anyone wishing to donate or help out in any way can contact me via PM and I’ll give all the viable information to them. This is a great opportunity and a great chance to make a difference in the surf world and help expand surfing’s base the right way. I appreciate everyone taking a couple seconds to look at this.
Aloha
Bryan
