Fungun rails revisited

I’ve been building a hollow wooden fungun for some time now, just need to build out the rails and shpe, then glass, etc. Anyway, I got some good advice on the rails some time ago here on swaylocks(http://www.swaylocks.com/forum/gforum.cgi?post=122094;search_string=fungun%20rails;#122094), but the other day I started reading through Tom Wegeners design articles about rail shapes and this: http://www.tomwegenersurfboards.com/crusader.htm Now I’m wondering if I’m better of with an egg rail all the way around the board.

Mind that this board will primarily be a single fin and that it will be quite heavy at 15-20lbs.

regards,

Håvard

Standard shorboard rails, turned down egg, with tucked edge, always…tapering to a thinner tail.
