future twinzer Q? twinzer glass on?

   -  What size plug for the lead fins in futures tw1 twinzer set?

   -  …and, Where to get?

   - Where can I find a twinzer glass on set?

…Thanks for the help…

Fins unlimited made my sets for glass on .

fins unlimited can make you just about anything that you want, a good choice

for the future boxes you want to use the ones with the 3/4 inch tang, the ones that have a F on the back end of the box

I think he’s asking about the triangular plug for the leader fin.

if it is the C5 fin box that your looking for those can be difficult to track down so i would just contact Future fins and have them mail you some

thanks fellas,

I am looking for the tab that fits the leader fin as gdaddy said. If thats the C5, then thats what I’m looking for. Does it require an additional jig?

It seems that the tab for insertion is larger than fcs’s, thus not usable for the future set.

Glass on is my choice, but I 've read that the leader fins should be attached w/o roving at the base. If this is the case, I would prefer the future set.

Any opinions on that?

the c5 box is known to have the fins come out , grub screw hits to low .

single fcs plug would be much better .

glass on would be my first choice

the C5’s do need a different jig but there small enough that i always just do it free hand and take my time

i would go with the C5’s because i could see it being a real pain in the butt to have to glass in the leading fin so close to the main fin, and you probably want to install the C5’s first so you have more room to install them, just my thoughts

I just filed the tabs down on the canards so they fit FCS plugs.

follow up…made a panel and my own fins. recycled board from an old midget smith surf connection board.

Looking good.  Let us know how it surfs.

gdaddy,

Tons of fun, gets in early and even out paddles the hybrids. However, this is the first square nose board that I’ve caught the nose on hollower waves, and had problems when a continous curve (rail and rocker) would have helped out.

Having said that, any wave I got in early on was a playground, and this thing felt very quick and skipped over flat sections with minimal deceleration. Can’t wait to take it to a point, or somewhere with a predictable take off spot. (which is what it was intended for) Very happy so far, but to be honest I have trouble doing proper ride reports when I’m having so much fun! Thanks for the interest.
