Long time lurker here. It’s been a year and a half since this topic has been brought up so I thought a revisit wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. Last I’ve seen, people weren’t too stoked on the Dorsal/Ventral fins that were made. The feeling was that they were poorly foiled and too flexy. There were also reports of them snapping off at the base with very little force. The Dorsal guy chimed in and said that they were working on a new resin and were hoping to bring new fins out in the near future.
So I ask, anyone have any updated experience with dorsal/ventral fins (they’re the same company, right?)? Did they ever come out with a new resin and are the fins any better? They’re just so cheap, I keep wanting them to be really nice or at least passible. Updates?
Alternatively, anyone have a favorite fcs/futures off-brand fin they really like?
thanks for the input. I’ve been reading some reviews online of Ventral fins. Two on amazon said that they needed sanding to finish them off and one of them said that the base wouldn’t even fit in the finbox. Was this your experience?
