Can anyone tell me if the Futures fins router is a custom made router built especially for Futures or can it be purchased from the local hardware store.
I believe it’s a small Ryobi router. Well, not exactly a router, it’s called an “affleureuse” in French but I don’t know the exact word in English.
Futures uses an unmodified Ryobi trim router, but Ryobi also markets the same router through Sears under the Craftsman label, I believe.
BTW- you still need the Futures jigs, not just the router.
I believe it to be a laminate router, the type used in trimming plastic laminate (Formica)in counter top fabrication.
I thought the base had been modified. Round instead of square.
