Are there any chick shapers?
My girlfriend helped me shape her last board, but I was wondering are there any accomplished woman shapers?
I wonder what boards would look like if they were more heavily influenced by girls.

Moms Mably, up in Appalacia county, Oregon. Hell Dude if a bunch of girls started getting into the act, we’d all have to paint our shaping rooms Pink instead of Blue. McDing
yea, and everytime they made a cut they would probably stop and sweep it up.
I know of a couple in our area. There is a laminator here too and she is really good. She does a lot of glasswork. I’ve heard that Velzy’s wife SANDED longboards back in the 60’s. Someone told me they called her “Sweaty Betty”. We have two girls working in our factory parttime and they are totally stoked on being involved with the industry…
I’m not tryin’ to be a “trivia freak”, but Betty was Dick Brewers’ first wife,I think. Ambrose or Kokua will know that one. My Ex never swept up S#!t. Man if you’ve got one that keeps a tidy Pad, you better not let her get away. McDing
Dosen’t Yater’s daughter shape? Or is that Webers daughter?
I thinks Dave Veral has a shaper in his gang shaping for diverse surfboards. I think but maybe dave can corect me on this.
cheers
Hey, my girlfriend knows more about shaping that most of the guys in the beach. She knows about rocker, concaves, vees, rails, and she’s a good contest judge also in our national championships. She also knows what’s a Bonzer, who are the Campbell bros or who’s George Greenough… and believe me, the guys in the beach here in Spain doesn’t know anything about that.
She had glassed one of my boards, and maybe she’ll shape soon a longboard for herself… so i’ll let you know when she’ll finish her first shape.
Oh, i forgot to tell you that she gave me my Eaton Bonzer as a birthday present… it was a really nice surprise. Here i show you a picture of the board. And she loves to see a good surfer or a good shaper doing his work for hours… I think those things keep me whith her after 12 years… haha.
Good waves!
yea, i know one. she is my daughter…the apple don’t fall far… you get the picture.raising her by my self most of her life, even with a few quirks she hasn’t turned out half bad. randy richenberg knows her, his factory did her glassing(excellent job). if i could persuade her to raise herself from her humble can (ha!)and post some pictures of her boards i know it would inspire others. (p.s. thanks randy for everything.)
I think she shaped, airbrushed, glassed - the whole works by herself. Nice work too.
